The history of the Magistrale "Contessa Tornielli bellini" school is that of an old institution with roots in this town. It was originally founded in 1833 on the wishes of Contessa Giuseppa Tornielli Bellini. It started off as a school complex, including a primary school, an arts and crafts school and a technical school. It became the Magistrale school between the years 1923 and 1937. In the 1980s, the new national experimental courses of educational psychology and foreign languages were introduced. A further course, in social sciences, has been active since 1999.
The Magistrale "Contessa Tornielli Bellini" school provides three different courses of study. There is a course for foreign languages, another for educational psycholigy and, the third, for social sciences. They all last five years, at the end of which you obtain the certificate "Diploma di scuola media superiore". It is possible to enter any university with this certificate.
This course gives you a wide knowledge of european and international culture, devoloping communicative skills through the study of foreign languages, work experience abroad, contact with twin towns and the presence of mother-tongue teachers. Three languages are taught in this course, besides italian and latin, scientific usbjects such as maths, physics and science and humanistic subjects, such as, history, philosophy and art, making up a total of 35 hours a week.

This course helps students understand the complexities of contemporary life and social behaviour through the study of socila sciences, multimedial language, foreign languages and work experience. Besides the above-mentioned subjects there are scientific subjects such as maths nad law, humanistic subjects such as history, philosophy and italian for total of 30 hiurs a week.

Née en 1833, par volonté de la Comtesse Giuseppa Tornielli Bellini, comme un établissement scolaire comprenant les écoles élémentaires, les écoles professionnelles, les arts et métiers, l'institut technique et l'école technique, elle devient Ecole Normale entre 1923 et 1937. Pendant les années 80 débutent les expérimentations nationales des filières socio-psycho-pédagogique et linguistique et, depuis 1999, le lycée des sciences sociales.
L'Ecole Normale « Comtesse Tornielli Bellini » comprend trois lycées : linguistique, socio-psycho-pédagogique et des sciences sociales. La durée des cours est de cinq ans; à la fin on obtient le « Diplôme de Scuola Media Superiore » équivalent au Baccalauréat, grâce auquel il est possible d?accéder à toutes les facultés universitaires.
Il offre une ample formation culturelle européenne et internationale en développant les compétences communicatives des élèves grâce à l'étude des langues étrangères, les stages, les échanges et la présence d?enseignants de langue maternelle pendant les heures de cours. Dans cette filière on étudie trois langues outre l?italien et le latin, des matières scientifiques telles que mathématiques, physique et sciences et des matières littéraires comme histoire, philosophie et histoire de l?art, pour un total de 35 heures par semaine.

"Wir wollen die Dinge auf eine neue Weise sehen..."Die Geschichte dieser Schule ist eng mit der Geschichte der Stadt verbunden. Sie wurde 1833 von der Gräfin Giuseppa Tornielle Bellini als Grundschule, Schule für Kunst und Handwerk und Berufschule gegründet. In den Jahren 1923 bis 1937 ist sie Istituto Magistrale (Schulzweig für Grundschullehrer). In den 80er Jahren entstehen auf nationalem Niveau neue experimentelle Formen der Sprachgymnasien und Sozialpädagogischen Gymnasien und so findet ab 1999 auch die Fachrichtung Sazialwissenschaften hier ihren Platz.
Im Istituto Magistrale „Contessa Tornielli Bellini“ sind die Fachrichtungen Sprachen, Sozialpädagogik und Sozialwissenschaften vereinigt. Die Ausbildungsdauer beträgt für jede der Fachrichtungen 5 Jahre und schließt mit dem Abitur ab, dass den Zugang zur Universität ermöglicht.
Es bietet eine Ausbildung nach europäischen Format. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf den Fremdsprachen, einschließlich Praktika und Austausch mit Schulen anderer Länder. Die Sprachkenntnisse werden durch die regelmäßige Mitarbeit von Lehrern in deren jeweiliger Muttersprache vertieft. Der Lehrplan sieht 3 Fremdsprachen sowie Latein und Italienisch vor, naturwissenschaftliche Fächer, wie Mathematik, Physik, Biologie und schließlich Philosophie und Kunstgechichte als humanistische Fächer , bei insgesamt 35 Stunden pro Woche.
Gesellschaftliche Beziehungen und Kommunikation werden durch das Studium der Humanwissenschaften (Psychologie, Pädagogik, Soziologie, Forschungsmethodik) zum Ausbildungsschwerpunkt. Projektarbeit, Volontariat und Praktika sind im Lehrplan vorgesehen. Ausser den oben angeführten Fächern gehören zum Stundenplan naturwissenschaftliche Fächer, wie Mathematik, Physik, Biologie und humanistische Fächer, wie Geschichte, Philosophie Kunstgeschichte, sowie eine Fremdsprache, Italienisch und Latein bei insgesamt 35 Stunden pro Woche.
Hier sollen Fähigkeiten zum Verständnis der Vielschichtigkeit unserere heutigen Zeit und sozialer Verhaltensweisen durch das Studium der Sozialwissenschaften, multmedialer Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten und der Fremdsprachen geformt werden. Praktika gehören zum Ausbildungsprogramm. Naturwissenschaftliche Fächer, wie Mathematik, Rechtswissenschaft und humanistische Fächer, wie Geschichte, Philosophie und schließlich auch Italienisch gehören zum 30stündigen Wochenplan.
